The aging process should be mentioned. Bourbon barrels. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 50.14.242.99 (talk) 17:53, 27 February 2013 (UTC)

Intoxication section really necessary?[edit]

I don't see why the section is here and don't think it is necessary. Kobitate94 (talk) 19:48, 1 May 2011 (UTC)

I think it is important, and curious, information, and don't see why take it out?

Is it haraam?[edit]

I just saw vanilla extract listed as forbidden for muslims. If it is true, I think it is worth mentioning and I'd love to know why. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 187.113.0.231 (talk) 13:28, 21 July 2016 (UTC)

This wiki entry should be deleted.[edit]

The article is about "vanilla extract", but has only a trivial description of extract. It wanders into the topic of "flavoring" and "imitation" (neither of which are "vanilla extract") and then veers totally off-topic, describing rare cases of ppl intoxicated on the 35% ethanol extract.

This is a MESS! 107.10.15.185 (talk) 07:03, 3 September 2013 (UTC)

No information besides the basic. Hardly enough to even constitute an article. -- Warfreak 09:21, 11 June 2007 (UTC) Does anyone know if vanilla extract is an acid or base? And if so, would you be so kind as to add it to the article? JoongeeGraduate (talk) 15:03, 9 December 2009 (UTC)
