Misuse of term "Decommissioned"
The Vermont Yankee plant is not decommissioned, it is in some phase of a "shutdown." It is by no means decommissioned. Decommissioning a nuclear power plant is a very long term (10 years+)and expensive ($1B+) sequence of activities, culminating in the disposal of all radioactive materials, and reclaiming the land for other use.
- The two cited sources don't go in to detail, but they do talk about a decommissioning process that will cost half a billion dollars or so, and I assume that doesn't take overnight. Kendall-K1 (talk) 04:05, 31 January 2016 (UTC)
