This is the best layout I could come up with anyone with a better idea as to the layout is welcome to execute it! Medscin 16:55, 15 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

This isn't very Encyclopedic but has Virgin dropped running the VT6 route to Edinburgh? I cannot see it in the current timetable.

Accuracy?[edit]

I'm concerned about the accuracy of this table. For example, on routes VT4 and VT7, none (or at most one) of the trains between Milton Keynes Central and Birmingham, Manchester or Glasgow travel via Northampton (see Northampton Loop). --Concrete Cowboy 13:14, 2 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

As nobody has produced supporting evidence and the timetable doesn't offer any of these routes through Northampton, I have deleted each mention of it. There are two VT commuter non-stop trains from NTN each day (06:49 and 07:10) but these start from there, they are not through trains from anywhere else. --Concrete Cowboy 18:19, 6 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I am also concerned about impliying that Virgin run a direct service VT4-Llandudno Branch to Llandudno town. I can't find this on any online journey checker, only an Arriva Wales direct from Crewe to Llandudno town.

Trains[edit]

aren't VT are using 221's on some of thier services to North Wales along with hauled voyagers? --Fuelboy 19:40, 3 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I'm under the impression the plan is to do so in future, but I've only ever seen Pendlionos (and the odd mk2 rake) in Euston (as a WCML Euston to Stoke regular passenger). I couldn't say weather the services out of New Street are Voyagers... Pickle 04:19, 5 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Yes they do. When I was at Llandudno Jn sum 2006, I saw 2 voyagers going to /from Hollyhead. i also passed a few on the north wales line. In fact, I did not see a single loco hauled Voyager train ! Dewarw 16:52, 7 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Change to redirect[edit]

I have changed this article to redirect to Virgin Trains. There are many reasons for this, the main three being:

  1. This is now the only franchise that Virgin operate, so two articles aren't needed to describe it.
  2. Apart from the long lists, most of the content of this article duplicates the Virgin Trains article anyway.
  3. The long lists of stations are excessive detail, and I think they are quite unnecessary.
