history

[edit]

There are no citations in the history section. This information doesn't match the FCC database either for the call sign history for this facility. The database shows only 3 former callsigns WEZE, WPZE on 1997-02-18 and the current WMKI on 1999-12-10. [1]. Can someone find reliable sources for this information?--Rtphokie (talk) 18:57, 30 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The FCC database does not have historical call sign information back to the origins of WMKI, so the lack of info on the oldest callsigns is no indication that they were not used. Citation 6 (bostonradio.org) appears to be the main source of the history information; I offer no opinion on whether that constitutes a reliable source.

Although the cited articles said that the station would be sold in September and stop broadcasting Radio Disney programming, this has not happened as of December 18, 2014; the station is still broadcasting Disney. But that is also original research; I have not altered the article to reflect that as I do not know any way to do that within Wikipedia guidelines. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mdulcey (talkcontribs) 06:43, 18 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Station is temporally off the air

[edit]

I just found found out on Facebook that Bob Nelson told me that Radio Disney is off the air in Boston. Anybody got any links for this and FCC Notice of Suspension / Request for Silent STA? And I think the station was sold to Salem Media Group. Thank you. BuddyBoy600 (talk) 14:52, 13 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
