Untitled[edit]

I would like to delete the recent edit by "Bigjlofan" that suggests a former connection between the playlists of WSPK and WHTZ (Z-100, Newark/New York). The edit goes on to state that this connection has been severed, and provides examples of three tracks to support this change in status.

I have listened to WSPK and Z-100 for more than 25 years and don't see any particular link between their playlists, other than that they are Top 40 stations with a youth-oriented, rhythmic lean. Furthermore, WSPK and Z-100 are not even owned by the same company; WSPK is owned by Pamal Broadcasting and Z-100 is owned by Clear Channel.

I don't see any justification for the suggested connection, but I wanted to post my suggestion here before taking down the edit.

Your facts are way off[edit]

Brian Krysz replaced Stu Shantz and totally revamped the station and set ratings and revenue records for K104 and WHUD. He hired Woodman and a totally a new staff, that included Donnie Michaels and Andreintroduced the K104 fest concert series and continued to consult the station for a year after leaving to become Czar of Programming for Cromwells 23 stations that include The Party and the Buzz in Nashville. He hired Scotty Mac for Middays before he left —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.105.80.7 (talk) 17:12, 22 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Long winded, self promoting[edit]

As noted by the above user, Brain Krysz was program director between Stu Shantz and Scotty Mac. Additionally most of the article meanders around talking about Wood Man and other K-104 history, when these events occurred mainly over the last ten years, very little effort is put into the previous 52 year station history. This sentence caps it:

On Friday mornings, K104's extended family drops by; Jillian the Intern and Brook and Diva ("representing the Gay community"}. you can always count on lots of fun when the entire "Family" is together.

Wikipedia is not an advertising venue, if the need to promote the station is overpowering you, buy a bill board or something else. --Div60 (talk) 23:09, 10 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Former air personalities[edit]

I challenge the inclusion of the list of former air personalities, under NOT. The clause in question states "For example, an article on a radio station should not list upcoming events, current promotions, current schedules, et cetera, although mention of major events, promotions or historically significant programme lists and schedules (such as the annual United States network television schedules) may be acceptable." The list does not make any kind of assertion as to the historical signficance of those personalities. Therefore, it should be removed. --74.95.135.46 (talk) 23:55, 26 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Due for a major rewrite[edit]

This article has become long and tedious with most of the material compressed into a five year period that deals mainly with the morning show, or long lists of station personnel, most of whom nobody has ever heard of. It should be rewritten in a more encyclopedic format that would be of interest to possible researchers and other interested parties. Div60 (talk)

Rewrote[edit]

Using what references I could find, removing the above mentioned lists, etc
