Merge[edit]

"Buzzer" is both ambiguous and too narrow, and does not even cover the examples given. We could have Warning sound, but all this material would be better just as part of Warning system. Martinevans123 (talk) 09:16, 13 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

OK, I get your point, but I don't think the content here needs to go in its own article, but rather as a section under the article Alarm device. <<< SOME GADGET GEEK >>> (talk) 14:31, 14 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
That's why I headed this thread "Merge"? Yes, Alarm device may be a good place, although I've not yet checked how much overlap there is with Warning system. This information seems to be more about a warning system feature (i.e. audible sounds) rather than any specific kind of "devices"? Martinevans123 (talk) 14:58, 14 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I agree that a redirect from Warning buzzer to Alarm device sounds like a good idea, and Alarm device already describes something similar to this. Warning system is less appropriate; it deals with ways of alerting populations to danger, rather than signals that something is wrong with a vehicle. Warning buzzer had been proposed for deletion, but I declined prod. IMO it should be a straight redirect rather than a merge; there really isn't anything at this article worth merging. --MelanieN (talk) 02:16, 21 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
If that's what Warning system says, I think it's mistaken. Martinevans123 (talk) 07:06, 21 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
