Are they the same individual? Probably. There are clues that they are. Wasim is alleged to have ties to al-igatha, and Al Rashid confirmed that his associate Wassim Allad Omar had worked for what he called a legitimate, certified Saudi charity al-igatha. I could expand the two articles to include this detail. But, basically, I think the articles should present the facts, and let the readers draw the conclusions.

Some readers may think that letting readers decide for themselves unfairly implies that Guantanamo authorities were unwilling or unable to do a competent job at maintaining a reliable roster of the detainee's identities, and that the roster was full of errors.. But the truth is that the camp authorities did not do a competent job of maintaining a reliable roster of the detainee's identities, and the roster is full of errors.

If we count obvious spelling errors, like "Ahmend" instead of "Ahmed" the roster contains well over one hundred errors. -- Geo Swan 10:35, 13 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
