It didn't suffer a collapse in 2000, the organizers took off with the money. And as for the self-management being riot free, that's mostly true except that stood there and watched the lead singer of Solitary Experiments beat down another guy (presumably Lina Baby Doll) because apparently SE and DN had some sort of stage or time slot coordination conflict that would not have happened, had the organizers been responsible. So to say the event was chaos free is incorrect. However it did have a an overall special air of responsible self management to it and a few interesting things took place anarchically that could not have taken place in the presence of heavy handed security, such as Raoul R. of Noisex starting and leading a big, loud, awesome percussion circle in the hallway of Werk II.
Also, dropping a [citation needed] tag on something that could have only been eye witnessed is not particularly helpful.
No reason was given for the reversion of my edits to this page on 25 May 2019. It appears to be an automated tool to combat vandalism, which my edits most assuredly were not.
