[edit]the crucial taunt link doesnt work, it just redirects it back to this same page. someone that knows how to fix it please fix it, thank you
+ Crucial Taunt doesn't need its own page. Write a paragraph about them in this article instead. Ppe42 03:58, 23 September 2005 (UTC)
Merge
[edit]I do not believe this article is large enough to warrant sub-articles on characters within the movie - I suggest we merge the two articles. Gardar Rurak 08:14, 12 April 2006 (UTC)
Del Preston Character
[edit]"Del Preston – (Ralph Brown) a veteran roadie who bears more than a passing resemblance to Danny, the drug dealer played by Brown in Withnail & I."
Of course he bares more than a passing resemblance, he looks the same, because the two characters are played by the same actor. im deleting the point that they look alike, because its pretty bloody obviuous—The preceding unsigned comment was added by 60.240.104.109 (talk • contribs).
- It's not just that he looks the same—he's wearing the same clothes, has the same hairstyle, uses the same fake accent and mannerisms, etc. According to Myers, the character is a "spiritual reprisal"—as in they wanted to just have Danny in the movie, but didn't know how to get the rights, so they just renamed him Del and told Brown to play him as Danny.
- I don't think it's too trivial a piece of information to keep in the article if written in an encyclopedic style rather than entertainment-gossip style. But it would need to be verifiable. And I _do_ think it's too trivial to waste the time going through all of Myers' 1993 interviews looking for the source, so I'm certainly not going to bother. --157.131.201.206 (talk) 18:46, 1 April 2019 (UTC)
Waynestock and Paramount Carowinds
[edit]I removed the claim that Paramount Carowinds had considered putting on a Waynestock at the Hurler rollercoaster since I could not find reliable sources to back up the claim. If it can be sourced then feel free to put it back. --Cab88 09:09, 15 October 2006 (UTC)

Sequel better than Original
[edit]Should this part of the article be taken out since that is just a comment on the IMDB page, and not an actual fact? Party29 (talk) 20:49, 26 April 2008 (UTC)
Alfa Romeo
[edit]Since it's long been removed from the article, this probably isn't important, but just in case anyone adds it back:
The article at one point said Wayne drives an Alfa Romeo Graduate (the 80s "throwback" model, which it definitely isn't). It was then changed to say he drives the same Alfa Romeo driven in The Graduate, which was _closer_ to true, but it's definitely not the _same_ car, and not even the same year (1967 vs. 1966, plus different importer modifications and additional end-user modifications). It was then deleted, which is probably for the best. If someone really wanted to re-add it (correctly), you can source the Graduate info from the 1991 book _Alfa Romeo Duetto Spiders_ by Giancenzo Madaro (ISBN-10: 88-7911-063-2), but of course it has no information on a movie that came out two years later (and the word of the guy who owns the car borrowed for the movie can be found online in various places, but that's not a reliable source). --157.131.201.206 (talk) 19:20, 1 April 2019 (UTC)
Kim Basinger in the Production section
[edit]80% of the production section is devoted to information regarding Kim Basinger's role in the film. Comes off as repetitive and stilted. 71.228.48.115 (talk) 20:33, 1 August 2023 (UTC)
