Marching Band[edit]

I hate to say it, but Marching Band is not considered an athletic event. As a former band nerd throughout high school, I know perfectly well that it should be considered an athletic event, but unfortunately the rest of the world does not agree. I've removed it from the Athletics section. If anyone has any objections or can show that West Salem High School does, in fact, classify it as an athletic event, please speak up. Doubtful, considering that the WSHS athletics web page doesn't list it. Perhaps an "extracurricular activities" section would be appropriate? Skiguy330 (talk) 20:23, 5 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Mmmm......no. Not an "extracurricular activites" section, but maybe one for its clubs? --Kimuyukix (talk) 04:59, 15 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Is the Native American section relevant?[edit]

Why is there a section on the Native American tribe that lived in the school's area? This is not closely related to anything else in this article, includes no discussion of any specific connection to the school, and is in any case already described in more detail in the Salem, Oregon page's history section and so is easily discoverable for those interested in the topic. Is there any additional connection of the tribe to the school, not mentioned here yet, which would merit this topic's inclusion in the school's article? - 73.195.249.93 (talk) 21:15, 7 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

In addition, the statement that the school resides on land belonging to the Kalapuya people, in the present tense, seems incorrect since this is a public school and their reservation does not include it. - 73.195.249.93 (talk) 21:37, 7 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
