That would depend on what year the student recieved the laptop, aswell as which laptop was chosen by the student. I was a student when laptop use became compulsory and i know we were at least given a choice between two models, both toshibas.

As a former student of Westbourne, can someone -please- have the English department take a look at this entry? The grammar is appalling!
