Untitled[edit]

Added Jimmy Ryan to the list of notable players. Also added a note about the Rocky music used to celebrate Wings goals and for player introductions. This might seem like a minor detail but this article needs anything it can get. I can't say precisely what date range this music was used, maybe somebody knows. It was basically their theme song during the years I watched them. Since it's a minor detail I put it in the "arenas" section instead of at the top, where it would look out of place. -Greg

Late 80's 'Fighting Back' Season[edit]

I wish I could add more to this article but I only have my childhood memory to go on. I recall that one year in the late 80's the team nearly folded, but the city decided to subsidize the team's losses. Following this the Wings began using a "Fighting Back" logo which depicted a WW2 fighter in front of the "W" logo. I believe the "fighting back" season was probably 87-88. But I can't really put that in the article just from memory. I do recall the city subsidy thing was mentioned in an old "Sport" magazine though. -Greg 13:51, 29 June 2009 (UTC)

Thanks and an Idea[edit]

First off, I'd like to thank all of you for picking up my slack. I'd fully intended to write this article (and in fact had some drafts of it in my mind) but I didn't know how to cite books for information (or indeed, how to cite anything at all). So I didn't, I chickened out. But you guys were good, and did it for me. I apologize for being a hypocrite, and I thank you all for helping out. However, I do have one idea, but I don't want to change it before having a group consensus (if there is a group, anyway). I think that the players should be in a vertical list, as they are in most other soccer teams on wikipedia. Also, we could put them at the BOTTOM of the page, since the 'current' news and the other parts of the article are usually put towards the top. Is any of this okay with you guys? Serious Additions[edit]

I don't know if anybody else cares but me, but this article is terribly in need of some information. I can supply a lot of it, but I can't get all of it. I'll also be a bit biased in my writing since I am from Wichita, so another person helping me would be nice. If anybody doesn't reply to this soon, I will take that as a mandate to help this page.
