Worth mentioning: Quoted in Gattaca (1997)?

In the introductory credits scene to the movie Gattaca (1997), the quote "I not only think that we will tamper with Mother Nature, I think Mother wants us to." is attributed to Willard Gaylin. However, I cannot find any original sources beyond the movie that provide any attributions to this quote. I'm not sure if it's worth mentioning on this page that Willard Gaylin was quoted by a popular culture film.
