I disagree. Having an entire county named for you makes you notable. More information about Hughes is probably out there; I am adding some information I found about his participation in a Missouri constitutional convention as well. —Scott5114 [EXACT CHANGE ONLY] 20:04, 22 May 2013 (UTC)
Turns out it was his father that was involved in the Missouri convention. Nonetheless, I added more information from the source that I found. I'm sure more can be found if someone were willing to invest the time into it. —Scott5114 [EXACT CHANGE ONLY] 20:33, 22 May 2013 (UTC)
