Isolated Croxton's auxiliary?

[edit]

Jackson encountered Croxton's forces on March 31 at Trion, two days after they had detached themselves from Wilson's main column at Elyton to neutralize Tuscaloosa. From what I gather, he succeeded in diverting them, and reached them "in isolation" before they could be reinforced by McCook and Upton, but he did not actually cause their separation. --Dystopos (talk) 20:10, 5 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
