Factual problem
[edit]There is a problem with the facts asserted in the Ascent section: The article for Mesud II says nothing about him being involved in this situation or being taken captive. He did have a younger brother named Qılıç/Kılıç Arslan (see Kaykaus II#Family). The article for Gaykhatu, the successor to Arghun in 1291, says that the rebel was instead Afrasiab I of the Hazaraspids, and that after Afrasiab's defeat his brother was kept as a hostage. There certainly seems to be some confusion here. Perhaps there were two distinct rebellions? Is anyone aware of a good source to straighten this out? The sources cited here and in the Gaykhatu article don't seem to be available online. —ShelfSkewed Talk 21:12, 21 September 2023 (UTC)
