Merge

[edit]

Seems like a good idea. I don't know which spelling (Yasuni or Yasuní ) should carry the article but in any event the alternate should then become a redirect. --hydnjo talk 17:06, 7 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

It seems that the spelling of the first article started should prevail which would be Yasuni. --hydnjo talk 17:16, 7 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]
I believe it should be Yasuní, which is the correct spelling. There needs to be a Yasuni redirect though because many people don't bother to type the accented i or don't know how to type it on their keyboard.Rontavius (talk) 22:50, 28 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

File:Yasuni.jpg Nominated for speedy Deletion

[edit]
An image used in this article, File:Yasuni.jpg, has been nominated for speedy deletion at Wikimedia Commons for the following reason: Copyright violations
What should I do?

Don't panic; deletions can take a little longer at Commons than they do on Wikipedia. This gives you an opportunity to contest the deletion (although please review Commons guidelines before doing so). The best way to contest this form of deletion is by posting on the image talk page.

  • If the image is non-free then you may need to upload it to Wikipedia (Commons does not allow fair use)
  • If the image isn't freely licensed and there is no fair use rationale then it cannot be uploaded or used.
  • If the image has already been deleted you may want to try Commons Undeletion Request

contradictory article

[edit]

Article is self-contradictory - first it says that the oil will be extracted (2013) because only 300 million has been pledged (and far less actually given), then in the last paragraph that billions have been pledged and oil extraction will not occur.
