Schelling did not direct the Young People's Concerts until 1958. Scelling died in 1939. I don't know who succeeded him but Wilfrid Pelletier conducted the series before Bernstein inherited it in 1958.

Split proposal
[edit]Proposing that the CBS television series be split off into its own article. Most of this article already deals with it, not the concert series. The television program has its own history and reception which would be better addressed in its own article. —CurryTime7-24 (talk) 01:15, 27 July 2023 (UTC)
