Template

[edit]

I suggest you put one of those template boxes of former and current F1 circuits. I would do it myself, but I can't be bothered. :-) ALCUS36 18:35, 11 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Focus of Article

[edit]

Sorry to disappoint the hard-core Formular One fans now, but this article has a completeley wrong focus. Of course there has been one single Formular one race on this patch of land, but the main purpose of it has been since 1938 and still is to be a military air field. It is the main airfield of the Austrian Air Force, hostet the Saab 35 Draken till 2005 and will host the Eurofighter Typhoon once they arrive (one already has). Check out Austrian Air Force#Fliegerhorst Hinterstoisser or the german de:Fliegerhorst Hinterstoisser for more details. --Wirthi 09:14, 14 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I totally agree with you, but after 17 years nothing has changed. As an example of how the current article misleads people, go to Austrian Air Force and pause your cursor over Zeltweg Air Base (or just do it here) - the pop-up box shows the motor racing circuit! That is bat-shite crazy.
It's now on my to-do list.
