Content Fork with Star City[edit]

Star City is the English translation for zvezdni gorodok. There is only one article in russian covering the subject of both articles in English, and I can see no reason to have seperate articles for the transliteration, and translation of the russian name.178.176.123.87 (talk) 21:30, 27 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

"Star City" is the English name for a space training facility. "Звёздный городок"/"Zvyozdny gorodok" is both the Russian name of that facility, and the name of the recently incorporated settlement that contains that facility. The two are not at all identical: the scope of the second concept is much larger even though its history is a lot shorter. The settlement's population is ~6,000 people. The facility has no "population"; it has employed personnel only. The administrative/municipal status refers to the settlement, not to the facility. Arguing that this article is redundant is like arguing that the Lake Buena Vista, Florida article is redundant because we already have an article about Walt Disney World.—Ëzhiki (Igels Hérissonovich Ïzhakoff-Amursky) • (yo?); August 28, 2012; 12:07 (UTC)
