Tanvir Dar (June 4, 1947 – February 12, 1998) was a Pakistani field hockey player. He was born in Punjab, India. He won a gold medal at the 1968 Summer Olympics in Mexico City.[1][2]

Tanvir Dar was an established penalty-corner-shooter from the 1960s.[3] Tanvir Dar helped Pakistan win the Asian Games title in 1970 and the inaugural World Hockey Cup in 1971 in Barcelona, Spain.[1]

After his older brother Munir Dar had retired from hockey, Tanvir Dar, along with his older brother, established a hockey academy in Pakistan which was later named after Tanvir Dar - Tanvir Dar Hockey Academy.[1][4]
