Tanya Fisher (born 23 October 1968, Northam, Western Australia) was an Australian basketball player.[1] She contributed in establishing Breakers (West Coast Waves) in National League basketball - WNBL and was a member of the Perth WAIS Breakers only Women's National League Premiers in 1992.[citation needed] Even after national league retirement, she still holds places on the WNBL statistics page, updated every year.[1] In her career, she played for almost all state teams known today: Burswood Redbacks, Cougars, Perry Lakes Hawks, Willeton and Mandurah Magic.[citation needed] She achieved MVP in 1995 whilst in the Redbacks and played 141 games in National League.[2] Being 183 cm (6 ft 0 in), she had the advantage of speed and strength against much taller players in the National League throughout her career.
