The albums discography of Tanya Tucker, an American country artist, consists of twenty four studio albums, two live albums, ten compilation albums, and three video albums.
In 1972 at age thirteen, Tucker released her debut album Delta Dawn on Columbia Records, which peaked at #32 on the Billboard Magazine Top Country Albums chart.[1] The following year she released What's Your Mama's Name, followed by Would You Lay with Me (In a Field of Stone) which both sold over 500,000 copies and certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America.[2] Tucker switched to MCA Records in 1975 and released a self-titled album the same year which peaked at #8 on the Top Country Albums chart and #113 on the Billboard 200 records chart.[1] Between 1976 and 1977 she issued four studio albums before the release of her 1978 release TNT, which was marketed towards a rock audience. In addition, it was also certified gold in the United States.[2]
After releasing three commercially unsuccessful albums between 1980 and 1982, Tucker made a successful comeback in 1986 on Capitol Records with Girls Like Me. The album peaked at #20 on the Top Country Albums chart and produced four Top 10 hits on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart.[1] For the remainder of the decade, Tucker released three more successful albums: Love Me Like You Used To (1987), Strong Enough to Bend (1988), and the compilation Greatest Hits (1989).[3] In 1991 Tucker's next studio release What Do I Do with Me became her first album to be certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America[2] while also certifying gold in Canada.[4] Can't Run from Yourself (1992) also certified platinum[2] while also reaching #12 on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart and peaking at #51 on the Billboard 200.[1] After releasing three more studio albums in the 1990s, Tucker released Tanya in 2002 in junction with Capitol and her own label Tuckertime Records.[3] In 2009 Tucker released her twenty fourth studio album, My Turn, which featured covers of classic country hits.[5]
