Bajkam[edit]

  • ... that upon the death of the Abbasid caliph al-Radi, his chief advisor and general Bajkam looted the caliphal palace of jewels and slave women?
  • Reviewed: Alfonso Litta
  • Comment: For an alternate hook: ALT1: ... that the Turkic warlord Bajkam, after winning a decisive victory in battle, was murdered by brigands while hunting?

  • Article is new enough and long enough, and there are not copyright issues with the text. The QPQ review is done. I like the first hook, and have slightly changed the commas in it. Thine Antique Pen (talk) 20:53, 27 October 2012 (UTC)
Nominator has to review another DYK; preferably the one that is not reviewed already. . §§Dharmadhyaksha§§ {T/C} 21:12, 27 October 2012 (UTC)
I reviewed another one immediately after the first, but didn't mention it. It's about the Archbishop of Milan who recruited an army of clerics, located directly below this on the template talk page. dci | TALK 22:41, 27 October 2012 (UTC)
In case you have reviewed another hook already, please replace the Val Demings' link from Reviewed section. That would be more useful. Positions of nominations on main page may keep changing. That way of navigation is troublesome for reviewers. §§Dharmadhyaksha§§ {T/C} 06:05, 28 October 2012 (UTC)
  • Here's a slightly revised hook (the first one might be a bit confusing): ALT2: ... that upon the death of the Abbasid caliph al-Radi, his chief advisor and general Bajkam looted jewels and slave women from the caliphal palace?
  • Is this good to go, or not? dci | TALK 19:52, 10 November 2012 (UTC)
  • QPQ satisfied; renewing approval per Thine Antique Pen. ALT2 reads better than the original hook, which are the same except for the reversal of a couple of clauses; ALT1 also previously approved (and preferred by TAP). BlueMoonset (talk) 23:03, 22 November 2012 (UTC)
