- Article is new enough and long enough. What makes this a reliable source, or the people quoted therein? I don't see 1848 there, nor the posthumous naming. Wonder if we should include Hoxie's cowardice somehow. Source text sometimes pretty similar to article text, but I don't think it crosses into plagiarism or copyvio. AGFing on some offline sources. Where does the information in the infobox come from? About the hook, I think it should be "sank" and "at least 90". QPQ is OK. Jo-Jo Eumerus (talk) 06:46, 23 September 2023 (UTC)
- @Jo-Jo Eumerus: What makes this a reliable source, or the people quoted therein? Thank you, the link was incorrect and I fixed it. I waffled on this one since since it's a family geneology website but everything was sourced and it had links which led me to many of my other sources. I did try to double source everything from this website. This is the correct link.
- OK, but I don't see what makes that website a reliable source. Is there an About Us page somewhere? Who is the author of the website? Jo-Jo Eumerus (talk) 07:14, 24 September 2023 (UTC)
- Wonder if we should include Hoxie's cowardice somehow. I agree, I can work on that.
- Where does the information in the infobox come from? Everything in the infobox is also in the text sourced. Should I source the infobox too?
- About the hook, I think it should be "sank" and "at least 90". I like that better, fixed. Annwfwn (talk) 12:39, 23 September 2023 (UTC)
- As far as I can see, the infobox text isn't present in the article text? Jo-Jo Eumerus (talk) 16:08, 23 September 2023 (UTC)
- @Jo-Jo Eumerus: my vision isn't great. What specific info isn't in the text but is in the infobox? I did doublecheck, MOS:INFOBOXCITE says it doesn't have to be sourced as long as the relevant text has a citation. Thanks! Annwfwn (talk)
- The tonnage, draught and length data. Jo-Jo Eumerus (talk) 07:14, 24 September 2023 (UTC)
- @Jo-Jo Eumerus: 2nd sentence under construction. I did go ahead and modify them to say actual units of measurements vs the ' often used in feet.
