Max Gresham

  • The article was created on December 9, is over 1500 characters (DYKcheck: 1566), no similar or identical passages found, article is factual and neutral, author/submitter has done QPQ review. The #54 best finish stated in the infobox needs a citation, either there or added in the Camping World Truck Series section with the citation there (or that line can be deleted); everything else is adequately referenced.
The hook does not seem to be very "hooky" for the general public, although it is accurate: two people have won championships for a team, one of whom is the article's focus. I'd like to suggest the following about Max specifically:
Note: this is my second DYK review, so someone else might want to take a look and make sure I've covered everything (and done so correctly). Thanks! BlueMoonset (talk) 17:31, 11 December 2011 (UTC)
Added the needed ref. I'm not sure about the alt hook - lots of kids start racing younger than that in go-karts, and it depends on a primary source (which is OK, but...). - The Bushranger One ping only 18:19, 11 December 2011 (UTC)
If you don't like ALT1, that's fine; I have no particular attachment to it, and it's a good point that they don't say what kind of racing it was when he was eight. Feel free to strike it out. (I did correct the link in it, which I failed to get right.) I'm not sure whether the semi-pro win at age 13, which I think was covered in one of the sources, would be as impressive, though it sounds like it is. Someone else would have to vet the ALT, anyway. • The requested citation was added, and the DYK passes based on its original hook. Would still like a more experienced reviewer to take a quick look, and perhaps think of a punchier hook. Thanks. BlueMoonset (talk) 19:59, 11 December 2011 (UTC)
