Nikola Stoyanov[edit]

Nikola Stoyanov in Genoa, 1922

  • ... that the financier (pictured) who led the negotiations of Bulgaria's foreign debt during the Interwar period, was also the author of the first Bulgarian astronomic study printed abroad?

  • Overall this looks pretty good. AGF on the offline, non-English sources; date and length are fine, and the article is well written and nicely illustrated. The hook fact is properly referenced. Just a few outstanding things: you need to do a quid pro quo review of another DYK nomination, there is a harv reference error with the Nenovsky source, and I suggest a slightly altered hook, as follows:
  • ALT1: ... that Nikola Stoyanov (pictured), the financier who led negotiations on Bulgaria's foreign debt during the inter-war period, also authored the first Bulgarian astronomical study printed abroad?
Hopefully this is acceptable! Prioryman (talk) 00:54, 29 December 2012 (UTC)
Thanks for the notes and the new and improved hook. This is my first DYK nomination and I really wanted to see how things work and what is indeed the best approach to nominations before I started reviewing as well. I am not too sure what a "harv reference error" might be, although I assume it has to do with the Harvard style of referencing. I did fix a page number error but the problem might as well be elsewhere. Once again thanks for the review and the points you made in it. I really appreciate any help and advice I receive --Laveol T 02:51, 29 December 2012 (UTC)
Congratulations on your first DYK! There's no need to do a quid pro quo review as this is your first (once you have done five you will need to start doing QPQ reviews with your nominations). I've fixed the reference error myself – it turns out that you had used the wrong citation template (see [1]) – and the article is now good to go. Prioryman (talk) 18:21, 29 December 2012 (UTC)
