Date and length criteria both met. Hook fact appears to be based on combining points made in two references (Irish Times and Independent), but I don't think it this amounts to synthesis.
All paragraphs are referenced, and all references are to online copies of book reviews, so it's easily verifiable. That also also assist checking for close paraphrasing. I checked only 2 of the 12 sources listed, but found no sign of paraphrasing.
