Remove invented icon

editsemiprotect As per MOS:ICON#Do_not_distort_icons, I see no evidence this has widespread usage outside of wiki same for African American topics sidebar 86.42.69.124 (talk) 14:52, 24 October 2009 (UTC)

Not done: please be more specific about what needs to be changed. GrooveDog • i'm groovy. 17:18, 24 October 2009 (UTC)
It's simple remove the made up icon. Or in other words set |image = to |image = on both templates 86.42.69.124 (talk) 23:51, 24 October 2009 (UTC)
Done, I can also see no reason why this image needs to be in there. --The Evil IP address (talk) 15:41, 25 October 2009 (UTC)

"Raised Fist" not "Black Fist"

I noticed that the "Black fist" link leads to a rock band, and not the intended target, which is under "Raised fist". I tried to make the change myself, but had to create an account in order to do so, and still have to make some edits before I qualify as an established registered user. If someone else could change this in the meanwhile, I would appreciate it. ExistentialBliss (talk) 19:13, 21 January 2010 (UTC)

Thank you for pointing out the problem. I've fixed it by changing the article to which Black fist redirects. — Malik Shabazz Talk/Stalk 23:39, 21 January 2010 (UTC)
Thank you, Malik. I appreciate your diligence. I've been editing here for a while and should have created an account a long time ago. At least this motivated me to do so. ExistentialBliss (talk) 00:49, 22 January 2010 (UTC)

Please add Baseball color line.
Current code in "list6": Negro league baseball
Change to: Negro league baseball (Baseball color line)
If you want to format it different, go for it. Thanks. --64.85.216.160 (talk) 15:54, 12 June 2011 (UTC)

Please add History of Blacks in ice hockey.

At the bottom of the items in "list6" please add:

* African Americans in ice hockey

(Including the " * ".) The above wording seems consistent with the NFL & CFL entries in the template, but feel free to change the description after the piping if you so desire. Rgrds. --64.85.221.4 (talk) 15:38, 23 June 2012 (UTC)

Making the history section chronological?

As it is it's a hodgepodge and I think chronologically, even if imprecise, would be more helpful than alphabetical. Other opinions? deisenbe (talk) 13:42, 18 February 2020 (UTC)

Why are there no articles for other slave states?

There is large African American populations with rich African American history in Arkansas, Ohio, Kentucky, Missouri, Virginia and Rhode Island. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.43.26.36 (talk) 20:20, 27 May 2020 (UTC)

Hyphenated?

Shouldn't the template title have "African-American" instead of "African American"? Protonk (talk) 18:02, 18 October 2010 (UTC)

I fixed this, 10 years later. If it's an adjective it has to be hyphenated. deisenbe (talk) 14:40, 4 December 2020 (UTC)

Why is there no article created for African Americans in Virginia in By state/city? Virginia was the first state to have black slaves and Virginia has the highest percentage of black Americans in the USA. African Americans in Arkansas should be created too because Arkansas had black slaves. African Americans in Delaware should be created also because Delaware was a slave state. Delaware, Arkansas and Virginia are rich in African American history. 61.220.126.180 (talk) 01:40, 14 May 2021 (UTC)
