Visible param

[edit]

{{editprotected}}

Just like {{NOINDEX}} which says in its documentation Parameters: |visible = yes : makes the template display a line of plain text to inform editors that the page is included from search engine indexing., this template should be coded as well by adding simliar : {{#ifeq:{{{visible|}}}|yes|{{{text|This page has been added to search engine indexes.}}}}} to it. See the source code for {{NOINDEX}}. - ALLSTRecho wuz here 19:22, 26 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Template-protected edit request on 22 January 2022

[edit]

Please synch this template with the sandbox version at Template:INDEX/sandbox. The sandbox changes implement a switch based on the namespace to actually check whether its being called in a namespace where __INDEX__ actually works, and if it doesn't output a clear error message and puts the page in Category:INDEX used in wrong namespace. This improves the current behaviour, where the template will just silently fail. -- Asartea Talk | Contribs 19:42, 22 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Template-protected edit request on 25 January 2022

[edit]

Please yet again sync this template with Template:INDEX/sandbox. The extra change I made adds a {{{demo}}} parameter, which if sets to yes will force the template to work, even if its placed in the wrong namespace, to ensure that examples of it can function (like in the doc page). Thanks in advance -- Asartea Talk | Contribs 18:16, 25 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

 Done. Please make any needed changes to the (unprotected) /doc page. P.I. Ellsworth - ed. put'r there 19:40, 25 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
