Redirects
[edit]Two points:
- All that are needed are one or two shortcuts. The procedure is, if one wants to include new shortcuts, they should first be created and only then they are added to the documentation page. Otherwise, they will show as red links and may confuse other contributors.
- There are good reasons to show all existing redirects in the Redirects section. They are then available for use by anyone who may want to use them. Also, if an administrator does not want so many redirects and wants to delete some of them, they have a list to use for that work. – PAINE ELLSWORTH CLIMAX! 20:21, 28 June 2013 (UTC)

Please change "related topic or term" to "related topic" in the description text: Redirects from related topics are different than redirects from related words, because a related topic or term is more likely to warrant a full and detailed description in the target article
. A term is simply a word or phrase used to describe something; terms themselves usually do not warrant detailed descriptions, since Wikipedia is not a dictionary. It's unclear how "related term" is different from "related word" here; this seems likely to lead to confusion of this template's intended use with that of {{R from related word}}. Please remove "or related term" from the description This is a redirect to an article about a similar topic or related term
. A term is just a word or phrase. As mentioned previously, most Wikipedia articles are not about words, but are meant to be encyclopedic descriptions of a given topic. In the few cases when the target is indeed a term, then it should also be treated as a topic per WP:WORDISSUBJECT. —Sangdeboeuf (talk) 22:04, 7 January 2020 (UTC)
