Unjustified revert

[edit]

Bazza 7 Could you explain why are you reverting and disrupt valuable edit using "Armenia argument" but also reverting edits about Georgia and Azerbaijan? Ⴂ. ႡႠႪႠႾႠႻႤ 20:21, 4 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Giorgi Balakhadze Yes. The article on Armenia states in the first paragraph that it is geographically considered part of Western Asia, so including it in Template:Rapid transit in Europe seems wrong. Template:Rapid transit in Asia includes other countries in the same region which are west of Armenia, including Israel and Turkey. I have not changed any information about Georgia or Azerbaijan, which are included in neither template. Bazza (talk) 20:37, 4 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Bazza 7 you are wrong, my edit included info about Armenia, Georgia and Azerbaijan (check diff) and because of Armenia argument you reverted all info. If you did not intend to do this, then I will re-add the Georgian and Azerbaijani systems. Ⴂ. ႡႠႪႠႾႠႻႤ 22:28, 4 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@Giorgi Balakhadze Apologies for the inadvertent removal of Georgia and Azerbaijan. I have also looked further into the status of Armenia as a European country. This has been more educational and interesting than I had anticipated. It's all a bit confusing: some articles and sources say yes, some say no; the UN says both, the CIA says Asia, then Europe, then both, and my own BBC sits on the fence and says nothing. The same seems to apply to Azerbaijan and Georgia.
I suggest we adopt sources in the Eastern Europe article as a reason to include all three in Europe, and those in the Western Asia article to include them in Asia as well. I have been WP:BOLD and updated both Template:Rapid transit in Europe and Template:Rapid transit in Asia. Feel free to adjust as you think fit. Bazza (talk) 12:57, 5 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
