I have reverted the IE logo, as it is against Wikipedia's fair image use policy. Quote from Wikipedia fair use policy:

  • The material should only be used in the article namespace. They should never be used on templates (including stub templates and navigation boxes) or on user pages. They should be linked, not inlined, from talk pages when they are the topic of discussion. Because "fair use" material is not copyright infringement on Wikipedia only when used for strictly encyclopedic reasons, their use in other contexts is likely copyright infringement.

Since this is both a template and one that appears on user pages, it is against Wikipedia policy (and most likely copyright laws). I will revert to the free image used up until this edit. --Grand Edgemaster Talk 00:47, 27 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

What's the point?

I don't understand the point of this template. What use is it if it doesn't say which web browser the user uses? Is there anyone to whom this template doesn't apply? —Keenan Pepper 02:03, 14 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, I edit by telekinesis. You mean you don't? – Gurch 23:13, 23 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I use the template because I don't use any particular browser. I have several installed on my system, and use different ones at different times. If there were a Random-browser userbox, I might use that instead, but this one seems to be good enough. Xtifr tälk 10:58, 29 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
