Thene Manasulu is a 1965 film from the cinema of Andhra Pradesh.[1] It is the first movie of Krishna. The movie is also notable for being the first full-length color feature movie in the Telugu movie industry. Director Adurthi Subba Rao recruited Krishna, Ram Mohan, Sandhya Rani and Sukanya to debut in the four lead roles in this movie. He also introduced the latest techniques in the Telugu film industry, Tollywood. Of the several new actors making their debuts, only Krishna became a major star.

Srinivasa Rao (K. Rao) is cheated by his friend Narasaraju (Murthy) who steal the money that he saved for the marriage of his daughter Bhanumati (Sukanya). Srinivasa Rao runs away from home because of this. Bhanumati goes to the city where she meets Basavaraju (Krishna), with whom her marriage was arranged before. They fall in love.
