Thomas Thanh Thai Nguyen (born April 7, 1953) is a Vietnamese-American bishop of the Catholic Church and serves as auxiliary bishop for the Diocese of Orange.

Biography

Bishop Nguyen was born in Nha Trang, Vietname. On May 11, 1991, Nguyen was ordained to the priesthood as part of the order of Missionaries of Our Lady of La Salette. From there he was incardinated into the Diocese of St. Augustine. There he was pastor of Christ the King Church and St. Joseph Catholic Church in Jacksonville, FL. Pope Francis appointed Nguyen auxiliary bishop for the Diocese of Orange on October 6, 2017.[1] [2] On December 19, 2017, Nguyen was consecrated as a bishop.
