The Fast and the Furious is the first of two soundtracks based on the major motion picture The Fast and the Furious. The soundtrack reached number seven on the Billboard 200 and number one on the Top Soundtracks. The album went platinum in 2002 in both the United States and Canada.[3]

The single released from the soundtrack is "POV City Anthem" by Cadillac Tah & Good Life (Remix) by Faith Evans. The Limp Bizkit single "Rollin' (Urban Assault Vehicle)", which is the remix to "Rollin' (Air Raid Vehicle)", is also featured on the soundtrack. The song features DMX, Method Man and Redman and is produced by Swizz Beatz. The soundtrack exclusively featured artists from Irv Gotti's label The Inc. Records such as Ja Rule.
