The Need of Love is the sophomore studio album of the band Earth, Wind & Fire released in November 1971 by Warner Bros. Records. The album got to No. 35 on the Billboard Top Soul Albums chart.[1][3]

Later samples

"Energy" was sampled by hip hop duo Jungle Brothers on the track "What U Waitin 4?" which was featured on their 1989 album Done by the Forces of Nature.[4]

In addition "I Think about Loving You" was sampled by the Fugees on the track "Nappy Heads" which was featured on their 1994 album Blunted on Reality. As well "I Can Feel it in My Bones" was sampled by EPMD on the track "Boon Dox" which was featured on their 1992 album Business Never Personal.[4]
