Ubi MRT station (DT27) is an underground Mass Rapid Transit station on the Downtown Line in Geylang planning area, Singapore, located near the junction of Ubi Avenue 1 and Ubi Avenue 2. The station serves the residents and industrial workers in and around the Kampong Ubi estate. The station is within 6 minutes walking distance to Maha Bodhi School and 10 minutes to Manjusri Secondary School, and it is around 5 minutes walk from Ubi Greenville and 10 minutes from View@Ubi (the two estates in the neighbouring Kampong Ubi estate)In the near future it will be right in front the new BTO flats called Ubi Grove which is slated for completion in 2023.(The BTO will be behind MRT station at the empty field)

History

Construction had started with various road realignment works began in September 2011.

The station opened on 21 October 2017, as announced by the Land Transport Authority on 31 May 2017.[1]
