  • In Modern Hebrew, the most common pronunciation of Resh (רֵישׁ‎) is the voiced uvular fricative (유성 구개수 마찰음) [ʁ].
  • For pronunciation of Resh (רֵישׁ‎), Ashkenazi use sometimes a uvular trill (구개수 전동음, 목젖 떨림소리) [ʀ] or an alveolar trill (치경 전동음 齒莖顫動音, 혀끝떨림소리) [r]. English-speakers replace it sometimes it with an alveolar approximant (치경 접근음 齒莖接近音) [ɹ], as in English.
  • For pronunciation of Resh (רֵישׁ‎), Sephardic and Mizrahi use either an alveolar trill (치경 전동음 齒莖顫動音, 혀끝떨림소리) [r] or alveolar tap (치경 탄음 齒莖彈音, 치조탄음)[ɾ].
