Aaron Ifill is a Trinidadian born singer/songwriter. His musical style blends Jazz, funk, blues, Hip hop, Reggae influences with R&B to create his unique sound.


Biography[edit]

Aaron Ifill was born in Champ Fleurs, Trinidad and Tobago and at the tender age of five (5) he discovered that he was gifted vocally. However, it took him almost fourteen years before he decided to turn his gift into a career, one which he enjoys wholeheartedly. Though he had the talent and the support of his friends and family, his fear for the stage crippled him, until the age of eighteen when he decided to ignite that which he was hiding. Motivated and determined, he ceased the opportunity and auditioned to sing at a modelling contest in his neighborhood. This was the moment he yearned for, which will be the catalyst for him to showcase his art. Ifill joined His Image (a gospel group) in 2009 where he sang for two years as a soloist and got his first taste of the stage. A Couple years later Aaron enrolled at the College of Science Technology & Applied Arts of Trinidad & Tobago COSTAATT[1] to pursue a BA in Music Education.

Career[edit]

Aaron has built a reputation for being a gifted vocalist and performer by performing on the open mic circuit and at Night Clubs throughout his country. He refers to Stevie Wonder, Musiq Soulchild, Usher & Bob Marley as some of his most influential musical icons.

He performed at the Annual Artiste Management Music Business Conference AMMBCON in 2013. His attendance and participation at AMMBCON has allowed him to see a greater perspective of the facets of a professional artiste.

In (2014) Aaron Ifill worked with A Millien Concepts on the first season of Uncovered, a local web series aimed at exposing new talent. He was featured as an upcoming artist in both first and second seasons where he made his debut as a vocalist to the local community. His involvement on Uncovered has exposed him to the music industry within Trinidad and Tobago.

Being a finalist on Digicel Rising Stars, has been another milestone in Aaron’s career where he was introduced to the local community on a large scale.

In (2015) Aaron released his first single Spend It With You[2], a Christmas ballad. Written and composed by him, the world experienced its first taste of Ifill- the recording artiste and songwriter.

Subsequent to his first release, 2016 witnessed the releasing of Ifill’s second single, In The Middle Of Life[3]. A blend of all his influences came through and was very present in his delivery on the recording. This song omened Ifill’s mark as a singer/songwriter.

In (2017) Aaron continues to make his mark on the Trinidad and Tobago music scene. He performed at the Tobago Jazz Experience[4] where he received rave reviews. Aaron then moved on to release three singles titled Mystery Lady[5] , Let You Go[6] and a third Rise[7] which was featuring fellow artist Candice Caton. Aaron was also a part of the DiscoverMe Artist Of The Month where he solidified his position as a serious contender in the local music industry.

Aaron Ifill makes real fans wherever he goes. Armed with the charisma and vocal skills of a seasoned performer, this young talent makes more than a lasting impression. He is a natural in all of the elements of stardom. Aaron Ifill continues to build on his craft, by constantly writing and recording music. He is well on his way to becoming one of Trinidad and Tobago’s next major recording artiste.
