Goals Our project is inspired by Tavares and the Encyclopedia of Invisibility, which aims to bring visibility to individuals and stories that have been historically overlooked or marginalized. Building on this inspiration, our goals for this project are: Goal 1: Expand Wikipedia Coverage Our first goal is to expand Wikipedia's coverage of individuals whose contributions have historically been overlooked or underrepresented. By creating and enhancing articles about these individuals, we aim to provide a more comprehensive and inclusive representation of history on Wikipedia. Goal 2: Promote Diversity and Inclusion Our second goal is to promote diversity and inclusion within Wikipedia's content. We believe that everyone's story deserves to be told, regardless of their background or identity. By highlighting the achievements of individuals from diverse backgrounds, we can create a more equitable and representative encyclopedia. Goal 3: Engage the Community Our third goal is to engage the Wikipedia community in our efforts. We believe that collaboration is key to creating meaningful and sustainable change. By working together with Wikipedia editors, contributors, and readers, we can amplify the impact of our project and ensure that it continues to grow and evolve over time. Goal 4: Raise Awareness Our fourth goal is to raise awareness about the importance of diverse representation in history. Through outreach efforts, events, and educational initiatives, we aim to increase public awareness about the stories of individuals who have been historically marginalized or overlooked. By shining a spotlight on these stories, we hope to inspire others to take action and contribute to positive change.
