Southern Movement

[edit]

Hi

What about the Southern Movement now? Panam2014 (talk) 15:52, 9 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]

it's still there 𐩣𐩫𐩧𐩨 Abo Yemen (𓃵) 16:04, 9 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]
What has the public's reactions been to the offensive and the subsequent dissolution of the STC? The map is almost a replica of North and South Yemen at this point. CutlassCiera 16:36, 9 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]
It’s mixed. The STC supporters are trying to cope with all the losses inflicted on them in such a short time, while anti-stc people are celebrating everywhere. Being from Hadhramaut, me and my fam are happy about their fall 𐩣𐩫𐩧𐩨 Abo Yemen (𓃵) 16:59, 9 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]
Ah, for some strange reason i always thought you supported South Yemeni independence :p Stupid of me, but very good that you and your family believe better times are ahead :) TheUzbek (talk) 18:55, 9 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]
It’s probably because i edit about the PDRY a lot lol. I genuinely dont see how restoring old borders is going to magically fix the situation in Yemen. The stc didn’t even have a clear ideology other than “let’s hate all Northerners because of Ali Abdullah Saleh”. All I am asking is for the ysp to get back in power 🙏 𐩣𐩫𐩧𐩨 Abo Yemen (𓃵) 20:20, 9 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]
@TheUzbek and Abo Yemen: we should upload maps of Northern and Southern Yemen with claims into each other in light green. Panam2014 (talk) 02:22, 10 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]
Haha :P Well, from reading this article it seems clear that the Chinese communists are willing to support Marxist parties abroad. If the YSP survives and manages to use it influence, it might get the financial support it needs in the future. TheUzbek (talk) 10:15, 12 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]
Chinese communists perhaps, but China's government itself hardly ever does anything other that creating sternly-worded letters in terms of "solidarity". Sahib-e-Qiran 00:46, 31 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]
As unarmed movement? Panam2014 (talk) 17:13, 9 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]
I dont remember the hirak having an official armed wing ever 𐩣𐩫𐩧𐩨 Abo Yemen (𓃵) 18:21, 9 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]

YemenSoft

[edit]

Hello,

Hope you are well and not being bored out of your mind. I was trying to access the existing links here at YemenSoft, but my VPN is blocking them. You made an edit at this page in February, and I was wondering if you could please check it out for me. If the links are fake, then this article probably needs to go.

Cheers, ThatTrainGuy1945 (talk) 03:23, 21 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Hi @ThatTrainGuy1945, the article seems to cite print citations of actual Yemeni magazines, but i dont have access to those magazines. What is the problem with the article itself tho? 𐩣𐩫𐩧𐩨 Abo Yemen (𓃵) 06:09, 21 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]
I meant like this link, and this one, and this one. I was just referencing if the article only has phoney citations, then it's a no-go, but if the magazines are real and the articles are real, it should be fine.
Also, on the topic of the supposed promotional content, I believe it's been scrubbed by this point. What do you think about that? ThatTrainGuy1945 (talk) 12:33, 21 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]
@ThatTrainGuy1945 [1] is a vector image host website (not a real source), [2] [3] are from a journal website (I'm not sure how reliable it is) with a research papers that do mention YemenSoft.
As for the promotional content tag, I've removed it since that seems to have been fixed by now 𐩣𐩫𐩧𐩨 Abo Yemen (𓃵) 05:27, 22 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Ways to improve Timeline of the Emirate of Asir

[edit]

Hello, Abo Yemen,

Thank you for creating Timeline of the Emirate of Asir.

I have tagged the page as having some issues to fix, as a part of our page curation process and note that:

Thanks for creating this article. It relies on Bang (1996) – are there other different sources that could be used as well so that more than one view is represented and facts can be cross-checked between sources?

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, leave a comment here and begin it with {{Re|Northernhenge}}. Remember to sign your reply with ~~~~. For broader editing help, please visit the Teahouse.

Delivered via the Page Curation tool, on behalf of the reviewer.

Northernhenge (talk) 23:01, 24 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]

will add other sources 𐩣𐩫𐩧𐩨 Abo Yemen (𓃵) 04:50, 25 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]
