Nawagarh is a town in Janjgir-Champa district, Chhattisgarh, India. It is one of the 36 Garh of Chhattisgarh state. Nawagarh hosts a police station. Nearby villages are Thakurdiya which is famous for various ponds. Nawagarh also known for Lingeshwar temple.

[edit]The nearest airport is Bilaspur Airport & Raipur Airport. The nearest railway is Janjgir Naila railway station 25km distance & Champa Junction railway station is 30km.
Tourism
[edit]Lingeshwar Temple, Jagannath temple and Mankadai temple are tourist attractions in the vicinity. Sheori Narayan is a tourist place nearby. It got the name Sheori Narayan because Lord Rama ate ber (a type of fruit) at this place, with Shabari. So actually it is Shabri+Narayan(Rama).
Pendri is one of the small village near Nawagarh. It is famous as the location for the temple of Chandi Dai.
