The Montreal Canadiens ice hockey club history predates the National Hockey League (NHL). This is a list of the players who played for the club in the National Hockey Association (NHA) from 1909–1917.

Joseph Cattarinich Cattarinich would play in four games for Les Canadiens in the 1909–10 season. The following season, he would end his playing career to become a full-time coach and general manager. He would become a part-owner in 1921.
