William Backhouse Astor, Jr.[edit]

I didn't delete it, I hid it. Generally genealogy isn't acceptable in Wikipedia, just listing children and spouses and anyone that has an article already is the Manual of Style rule. The text is still there when you hit edit. I will move the entire article to Familypedia the genealogy wiki and it can be expanded there and link to from Wikipedia. --Richard Arthur Norton (1958- ) (talk) 20:12, 19 June 2010 (UTC)

I am moving the unformatted text to the discussion pages for the articles. I think the best solution is to move genealogical information to Familypedia and link to it from Wikipedia. If you think Wikipedia should change the rules, the best place to lobby for it is at the Wikipedia:Manual of Style. --Richard Arthur Norton (1958- ) (talk) 20:59, 19 June 2010 (UTC)

I think I have come up with a solution that will please everyone. See John Jacob Astor. --Richard Arthur Norton (1958- ) (talk) 21:36, 19 June 2010 (UTC)

What does an asterisk mean next to a date? There is no explanation for it. --Richard Arthur Norton (1958- ) (talk) 02:30, 20 June 2010 (UTC)

OK, I guess I will have to take a few guesses as to what it means. --Richard Arthur Norton (1958- ) (talk) 20:05, 20 June 2010 (UTC)
