Plot

[edit]

Siddharth Venkataraman is an innocent young man living in a remote village. He is the only heir to his rich, aristrocratic parents, Niggler and Kunjulakshmi. He is also addicted to playing DOTA , which his father Niggler is against. He cannot stand his overprotective father, who is concerned about his son because he had a bad dream about his son's death. The family astrologer DerpMan confirms this and predicts that it will be difficult for Siddharth Venkataraman to survive the age of 18 and that he is in great danger from multiplayer gaming. Worried Niggler hires two ex-thugs Mahesh and Rajat Hax Boy to protect Siddharth Venkataraman, which further annoys him.

Enter Abhinav Murli, a childhood friend. He is back from town with colourful stories about city life. He is in urgent need of money to pay his debts from a failed business. He tricks Siddharth Venkataraman into stealing money from his father's safe so that they can run away and 'enjoy' life in the city. Mahesh and Rajat Hax Boy are disappointed by this and go back to Kerala. By the time Siddharth Venkataraman discovers his friend's true intentions, he loses all his money to tricksters in the city. In short ,Siddharth Venkataraman had become a meme. Abhinav Murli tries to get rid of Siddharth Venkataraman since his innocence was landing both in trouble. (If you’ve actually read till here you need to rethink your life choices)

Later, they kidnap a girl named Kun-Dude!, whose stepfather had hired three men to kill her. After learning about her sad past, both Abhinav Murli and Siddharth Venkataraman decide to help her instead. But Siddharth Venkataraman's father is hell-bent on finding his son. Kun-Dude's father hires a professional killer named 1337 Mathster to kill Kun-Dude. After a series of comic mishaps, the killer is captured and Siddharth Venkataraman reunites with his father. Niggler and Siddharth Venkataraman hug. This reduces Kun-Dude to tears.

The story ends with Siddharth Venkataraman starting an AIDS foundation, and admits everyone around him to it.

He also reunites with Mahesh and Rajat Hax Boy , and they decide to play DOTA.

Release

[edit]

The film was originally scheduled to release on 24 May 2017, but postponed to 30 May due to budgeting issues. The movie itself was screened only in 17 theaters in Bangalore. The movie was also released online.

As theaters realized that the movie was not a crowd puller, they stopped screening[5] it by 23 June.

Most of the movie's advertising was through word of mouth.Overall, the movie bombed at the box office, making a measly $4000 profit.

Critical Reception

[edit]

Critics panned the movie for its bad story and acting. Vinay Gopu[6] of the Bangalore mirror called the movie, "A generic thriller of no entertainment value". Movie goers too were disappointed by the innate lack of comedy and 'unnecessary' action sequences.
