Eduardo Arroyuelo Woolrich (Mexico city, september 4th, 1973) Mexican actor. He is considered the best Mexican actor of his generation. Also known as "Ed Woolrich" or "Arroyuelo Woolrich" as a director. He is the son of families of English and Spanish immigrants who arrived in Mexico City in the last century. Arroyuelo, born in the former Federal District in Mexico on September 4, 1973, began his career in the film business in front of movie cameras as a child actor at the age of seven when they were used for filming TV advertisements.

Arroyuelo, who was mainly raised by his grandmother, who supported him to develop his artistic career during his childhood grew up acting in TV. Later on, he began his theater studies alongside countless appearances in films, series, and soap operas of that time. Obsessed with the theatrical craft, he took part in experimental productions at "La Gruta" and "Teatro Helénico" in Mexico City while producing short films and conceptual art videos with artists Stefan Bruggemann and Iñaki Bonillas in collaboration with the installation museum in London, England

Arroyuelo studied film at the prestigious University of New York in the graduate program and furthered his training in London, England, at The Actors' Center in Covent Garden, as well as in Los Angeles, California. It was in Los Angeles where he developed a passion for screenwriting, thanks to his landlady, the producer Share Stallings

After six feature films written and one already produced, in 2022, the feature film titled "YCAGWYW," also known as "You Can't (Kant) Always Get What You Want," or "El efecto Mandela" was released.

“YCAGWYW“ is part of a series of feature films that connect with each other through the characters, which includes 'The Man Who Came from Satellite,' also titled 'Satellite of Love,' to create a unique narrative ecosystem where all the plots interweave, using 'Back in Black' as the pivotal point. 'Back in Black' is a carefully crafted feature film Writen by Arroyuelo as Ed Woolrich Script doctored by Robert Flaxman, Skip Press, The Writers Store, and Syd Field. "Back in Black" was on of the latest scripts reviewed by The late Syd Field who was a writer of the books 'Screenplay,' 'Four Screenplays,' among others."

Arroyuelo won the "BEST FEATURE" and "BEST DIRECTOR" awards in 2021 for "You can't always get what you want" at the TMFA Film Festival in Toronto, Canada. The film also received the Cannes Independent Film Festival Audience Award for Best Feature Film, the Roma Movie Awards Best Picture 2021, and an Honorable Mention at the Berlin Indie Film Festival 2021. Additionally, they received an Honorable Mention at the Eastern European Movie Awards for Best Feature.

Arroyuelo's achievements continued with the Cannes International Cinema Festival Award for Best Producer, which they shared with the producer Mate Zuniga. Their film received Special Mention at the London International Monthly Film Festival and was recognized as the Best Production Company at the Global India International Film Festival in 2021.

Furthermore, Arroyuelo was a semifinalist in the European Cinematography Awards (ECA) and Canadian Cinematography Awards (CCA) for his work as a cinematographer.

Eduardo Arroyuelo Woolrich is considered the best Mexican actor of his generation for his roles as iconic Tony Hernández in the series "XY La revista," El buitre in HBO's "El señor Avila," Sergio in "Todo por amor," Claudio Caballero in the movie "7 Dias," and more. He achieved recognition in theater with his role as "Victor" in the play "Some explicit polaroids," where he received the critics' award that year, and in the play "The normal Heart" playing Felix Turner. He is one of the few actors who, in addition to acting, can handle all the processes of filmmaking end to end. Arroyuelo can write, direct, produce, edit, photograph, color-correct, and take on all the roles involved in making a complete film.

Arroyuelo is one of the founders of the artistic and cultural movement in Colonia Roma - Condesa, in Mexico City, during the late nineties and early twenty-first century.

He is the writer of the novella titled "UNDERNEATH THE D"A"Y," published on Amazon under the pseudonym EADWEARD WOOLRICH. Today, Arroyuelo is working on the development of the scripts that are part of the narrative ecosystem called "Pictures of you."
