Dr. Ludwig is the pseudonym of a German YouTuber known primarily for his edited videos on traditional music.
His YouTube channel features mainly German traditional songs with English subtitles. Dr. Ludwig covers genres that range from Socialist music, classical music, Christian music, military marches, Folk, Neofolk, and Medieval music.[1]
Career[edit]
Dr. Ludwig started his YouTube channel on 12 December 2016. Following an update of the YouTube terms of services on hatespeech, YouTube suspended the channel in 2019 temporarily. After challenging the decision, YouTube reinstated the channel of Dr. Ludwig a few months after the decision. Dr. Ludwig said: "It was, luckily, reinstated in December of the same year after the terms of services had been adjusted and massive complaints had been filed."[1]
In June 2021, the German newspaper Junge Freiheit reported that the channel had 175,000 subscribers and that the hundreds of videos had received 86 million views.[1]
