Kostas Chitas (9 June 1974) is an Greek Journalist, radio producer, presenter and politician.
He is Member of Parliament of Electoral District B Thessalonikis and Parliamentary Representative of Greek Solution.
Biography
[edit]He comes from Epirus, was born in Germany and for the last 28 years he lives permanently in Thessaloniki. [1]
He is a journalist, radio producer and TV presenter. He has been broadcasting on radio and television for 26 years. He became widely known as the presenter of the show Derby on Makedonia TV, which he presented for 13 consecutive years, starting in 2005[2]. He also worked at Omega TV.
He has been involved in radio, making shows on Radio Thessaloniki, on Libero FM, but also on Focus FM 103.6, where he still has his own show every Saturday at noon.
He taught journalism at a private IEK[3] for over ten years and was the Director of the Journalism Department of IEK.
Kyriakos Velopoulos was elected Member of Parliament 2nd of Thessaloniki with the Hellenic Solution, receiving 2,664 votes[4]. Appointed, by Kyriakos Velopoulos, Second Parliamentary Representative of the Greek Solution. In the 2nd Parliamentary Term, he participates in the Standing Committee on Public Administration, Public Order and Justice, the Standing Committee on National Defense and Foreign Affairs, the Standing Committee on Economic Affairs, the Special Standing Committee on Road Safety and the Constitution Revision Committee.
He is married and has one daughter.
