Wynn Free is an Arizona based speaker and author on New Age spirituality. He works primarily in the area of channeling and with something he refers to as "group soul consciousness". This channeling experience began while he was researching a book about Edgar Cayce, the famous American psychic, during a drive through northern California when his girlfriend at the time, Daphne Karandanis, began channeling an entity that identified itself to them as the Elohim. He currently works with Terry Brown, another channel from the Los Angeles area. He publishes information online and in printed materials with the purpose of helping to raise the spiritual energy consciousness of people. He also conducts live phone conferences where he attempts to establish a safe-space for spiritual healing.

Early Life and Education

Free was born to a working class family in Philadelphia. An early fascination with ham radio led to a passion for physics which he shared with a boyhood friend. When his older friend gained admission to UC Berkeley’s physics program, Free hoped to follow in his friends footsteps across the country. A year later, initially rejected by UC Berkeley, he was able gain admission after writing a series of determined follow-up letters expressing his interest. When he finally arrived in 1968, San Fransico was in the eye of the '60's polical and cultural storm. Following a not uncommon path at the time, he decided to follow his other passion, music, and dropped out of college to be a singer/song writer and form a rock and roll band. He lived during this period in the San Francisco bay area, but also criss-crossed the country playing at clubs and coffee shops. During time he formed a temporary business relationship with legendary song writer Brian Holland ^[1].

Later Work

His book "The Reincarnation of Edgar Cayce?", co-written with David Wilcock, recounts the story of his discovery of a young man who had amazing parallels to Edgar Cayce's life. While working as a journalist for a metaphysical magazine in Arizona, he encountered a young man who had what he considered to be unusually striking parallels, both in life history and in physical appearance to the famous American prophet or “channel” Edgar Cayce, who had died in 1945. The similarities seemed to him to defy rational explanation, even down to details such birth date. His book "The Reincarnation of Edgar Cayce? " ) builds an unusually detailed case proving for many readers that the reincarnation of Edgar Cayce really did happen. It also discusses many other metaphysical ideas, establishing a complete and logical discussion of the subject. The second half of the book deals almost exclusively with specific channelings and their interpretation. The book has a following largely among New Agers and has been lauded by prominent New Age figures such as Sondra Ray ^[2] and Uri Geller^[3].

Free has also been a staff writer for various New Age publications, including The Messenger (Los Angeles) and Spirit of Ma'at^[4]. While working for them, his writings covered a range of New Age subjects including 2012 millenarianism, and various other New Age subjects, such as "dimensional shift" ^[5]^[6]UFO's ^[7], spiritual healing^[8] , reincarnation ^[9], angelology^[10], Ascended Master Teachings^[11],and channeling^[12]. He has been a featured speaker at various New Age conferences, including Conscious Life Exp ^[13], New Living Expo ^[14] He has been a guest onGeorge Noory's Coast to Coast^[15]. He ran one of the original BBS radio shows, the Don and Wynn Show ^[16], with co-host Don Newsome for several years, when they interviewed various New Age figures, such as Carla Ruckert. He has been in discussions about a possible movie project about his life at the time he first experienced channeling phenonmena with Barry Morrow, the author of "The Rainman"^[17] .
